Paul Huxley’s solo exhibition in Santa Fé, New Mexico, mostly comprises paintings that have been done since the large wall drawings in the 2015 Venice Biennale and in some instances are obviously developed from those works. There are also paintings that continue his series that explore the geometric possibilities of juxtaposing flat and perspectival space.
Huxley has painted for his entire working career but here for the first time he is also exhibiting sculpture that he has been developing over the last seven years.
